A sunny day spent on the warm sand and water in San Juan…sounds heavenly!
Sir Pigglesworth is all suited up to go snorkeling in the waves.
This picture makes me want to laze on the beach in a lounge chair.
Notice all the seagulls in the air but take particular notice of the iguana peeking at you in the left corner…iguanas play an important role in the book!
What really made me laugh, though, is the curly tail sticking out of the Duchess’ bathing suit…LOL

Chapter 1
Sir Pigglesworth flopped along the beach in San Juan in his snorkel gear.
He wore flippers that left monster size tracks in the sand as he walked.
“I can’t wait to see the fish and coral, but I hope we don’t see a shark!” he said to his mom.
The snorkel in his mouth made it sound like he said, “I pan gate to dee da sith and moral, gut I dope gee bone a park!”
“We’ll check out a park later, dear,” his mom said patting him on the back.
“Right now we’re going to see some fish and coral and who knows, maybe even a shark!”

What a happy illustration…it makes me laugh just to look at it.
Everybody is happily smiling to see the joy on the faces of Sir Pigglesworth and Princess Serena.
They are doing a line dance to entertain everyone.
Look at the little boy on the line…he’s startled to see a pig dancing!
The First Officer is waiting to welcome them aboard.
They’re ready to set sail for the Mexican island of Cozumel…bon voyage!

Chapter 1
“I’m going to see JoAnn! I’m going to surprise her for her birthday!” Sir Pigglesworth was singing as he danced along the dock.
Everyone walking to the ship was watching him with a big smile. The little pig looked so happy!
His friend Princess Serena followed behind him holding her hands on his shoulders as she danced along with him.
Bill, who had arranged this surprise for JoAnn, smiled as he saw them coming.
He knew there was never a dull moment when their little pink friend was around!

Sir Pigglesworth Action & Adventure Chapter Books for Children ages 5-8
The first thing that caught my eye in this illustration is the cowboy with his ten-gallon hat sitting in the front seat of the airport shuttle.
My illustrator, David, always puts fun things in the pictures to see if they are noticed. I love that he does this so even I have to search each illustration to see what’s there!
Then notice the beautiful picture on the hotel marquee…this really brings New York City to life.
But what people tell me is that they can see the love Bill and JoAnn and Sir Pigglesworth have for each other through the expressive faces and gestures of the characters…it warms my heart to hear this.

Chapter 1
As soon as the door of the bus from the airport opened, out hopped Sir Pigglesworth. He was so excited to be seeing his friends JoAnn and Bill again.
He hadn’t seen them since he left New York City after they found his mom and dad. He had lots to tell them!
They were waiting on the sidewalk just as excited to see Sir Pigglesworth as he was to see them. They couldn’t wait to surprise him.
He thought he was just visiting them at the hotel…little did he know they were going to take him on a cruise to Bermuda!

The island of Pigonia…where it all began.
Located 3000 miles from New York and 3000 miles from London, this island is home to many generations of pigs.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the island is shaped like a pig!
And then check out the names of the towns on the island…my illustrator is so creative!
Kids and their parents get a huge kick out of reading the names out loud.
We are looking into having a puzzle made for the kids.
Get ready to meet the porcine inhabitants of the island!

In 1802 the King sent our favorite little pig’s great-great-great-great-grandfather, Royal Grand Duke Spencer J. Hoggbottom of Pigglesworth, to Pigonia.
Pigonia is an island far away, exactly 3,000 miles from London and 3,000 miles from New York.
Many smart, hard-working pigs lived there among the beautiful rolling hills and meadows. They raised many crops. They were very happy.
After many years, the Grand Duke left the pigs to rule themselves and went to America to do some work for the King.
He stayed to raise a large family, leaving a trail of royal pigs from New York City to Washington, D.C.
Well, all of the pigs on Pigonia lived peacefully for the next 200 years, but this is when our story really begins…

The airport in New York City is very busy with people rushing to get to their gate.
Sir Pigglesworth is slightly nervous among the crowds…he doesn’t want to lose JoAnn like he lost his parents!
They were at the airport during the Thanksgiving holiday season and we all know how crowded airports are at that time of the year!
People are so busy running to catch their flight that nobody noticed there was a pig in the terminal…LOL

Chapter 1
The airport was crowded with people coming to visit their families for the Thanksgiving holiday.
It seemed that every time Sir Pigglesworth turned around, he was bumping into someone else.
“It’s like a maze that scientists let mice run in when they’re doing an experiment,” Sir Pigglesworth said to his friend, JoAnn.
“Only there are people instead of walls, and there won’t be any cheese at the end.”
